Lincoln MKS

The design was clearly devised before Peter Horbury redefined the Lincoln brand's styling cues, exemplified by the MKR concept shown in Detroit in January this
year. The MKS does
without the twin-port bow-wave grille or the thin horizontal taillight strip, while the A-pillars are too massive to give any impression of a cantilever roof. Because of its transverse engine and FWD/AWD architecture the MKS doesn't have the dramatic proportions that Lincoln is aiming for with its future products.
Inside, the MKS employs light hues and a form language that draws on modernistic American furniture form the Fifties and Sixties, as seen on other Lincolns. The new car is expected to reach dealerships next February as a 2009 model.

Volkswagen Tiguan

Following fr
om the Concept Tiguan revealed the Los Angeles Motor Show last year, the production version retains many of the styling cues found on its larger Touareg sibling - including the crease running between the front and rear wheelarches and the characterful front fascia. Unlike the Touareg, the new car features a revised tailight design that is arguab
ly better resolved. With a more rounded shape, clear center and red surround, the clusters are reminiscent of the Passat taillamp treatment.
Slightly larger than VW's Touran MPV, the Tiguan measures 4.4m long, 1.8m wide and 1.6m tall and will come equipped with VW's 4MOTION four-wheel drive and an 18 degree angle of approach. A model with a 28 degree angle of approach, a radiator protection grille, underbody protection, hill descent control and a compass will also be available for those seeking more off-road prowess.

The Worlds Fastest Lamborghini ?

The worlds fastest Lamborghini may be a toss up.
In one corner we have the Lamborghini Murciélago LP640.
The Murciélago is powered by a 6.5-litre Lamborghini V12 engine.
The Murcielago LP640 can 0 to 60 in 3.5 seconds, 0 to 100 in 8.1 seconds and turn the quarter mile in 11.8 seconds at 126 mph.
It has a top speed of around 219 mph.

It's rival is the Lamborghini Reventón.
The Reventón is powered by the same 6.5-litre Lamborghini V12 engine.
It's 0 to 60 time is the same as the Lamborghini Murciélago LP640 that it's based on.
But with a 1.4 million dollar price tag on the Reventón compared to the $318,800 for the LP640, I'm gonna have to go with the Murciélago.
Not to sound cheap, but shelling out the extra money for the same performance?

The Lamborghini 400GT

The Lamborghini 400GT 2+2 was a 2+2-seated sports car from the Italian manufacturer Lamborghini, successor to the 350GT. First presented at the 1966 Geneva Auto Show.
Compared to its predecessor the engine was enlarged to 3929 cc (240 c.i.), increasing the power to 320 bhp (239 kW). The 400GT 2+2 was actually a different body from the 350GT, with a longer wheelbase, different roofline, and some sheetmetal changes throughout the car. The larger body shape enabled the +2 seating to be installed in the rear, where the 350GT only had room for luggage or +1 seating. The bodywork was designed by Carrozzeria Touring. The 400GT 2+2 also had a Lamborghini designed gearbox, with Porsche style synchromesh on all gears, which greatly improved the drivetrain.
There was a variant of the 350GT with the 4L V12 fitted to it, which was called the 400GT. Only 23 of these smaller coupes were built, three of which had desirable aluminium bodywork.
A total of 247 units were built from 1966 to 1968, when it was replaced with the Islero.

Lamborghini Murciélago

The Lamborghini Murciélago is a sports car produced by Italian automaker Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. and designed by Luc Donckerwolke. It was introduced in 2002 as the successor to the Diablo. The Murciélago is a two-door, two-seat coupé. To celebrate the company's 40 years in operation, 50 special edition Murciélagos were built during the autumn of 2003. An open-top version called the Murciélago Roadster was introduced in 2004 for the 2005 model year. The roadster features similar performance to the coupé with a more aggressive rear flank, as well as a considerably higher price tag.
The Murciélago sports a 6.2 Liter version of the legendary Lamborghini V12 engine, a six-speed manual or six-speed sequential automatic transmission, and four-wheel drive. It also has a rear spoiler that can be raised to an angle of 70 degrees, side mirrors that fold in to improve aerodynamics, and side scoops that automatically open to the needed size to let in just the right amount of air needed to cool its engine. The 2008 car's fuel economy is 8 mpg (U.S.) (29 L/100 km) city and 13 mpg (U.S.) freeway, making it the least efficient 2008 car for city driving, according to the EPA.
The coupé's base price is US $313,000, which is US $107,000 more than its smaller sibling, the Lamborghini Gallardo.
In 2006 the Murciélago's engine was replaced by a stronger 6.5-liter engine and the car's name was changed to Murciélago LP640. For the 2007 model year Lamborghini did the same with the roadster model, which is now called Murciélago LP640 Roadster. Both versions received a minor facelift.

Lamborghini Diablo, part 4

The second version of the VT coupé and roadster added mostly cosmetic and styling changes. The cars now featured the SV's exposed headlamps (Borrowed from the Nissan 300zx 1990-96, and Used under licence) , new wheels and a newly redesigned dashboard. On the mechanical side, larger brakes, the addition of ABS brakes and a new variable valve timing system on the 5.7-litre V12 were the only mechanical updates. Power output increased to 530 hp (395 kW), The standard 0-100Kmh time was 3.8 seconds but if you rev up to 6000 Rpm and sidestep the clutch you can launch it in 3.6 seconds.. Despite the money Lamborghini had spent making the updates, the "Version 2" VTs were discontinued after only one year of production.
Just like the updated versions of the VT coupé and roadster, the 1999 model year SV's changes were primarily limited to cosmetics. It received slight bodywork updates (keeping the exposed headlamps), new wheels and larger brakes in addition to the new VVT-equipped, 530 hp (395 kW) engine. The 1999 Diablos also gained a new dashboard. Instead of the traditional flat dashboard with a separate upright instrument binnacle, as on so many Italian supercars, the new dash was of a more fluid, wave shaped design. A thin strip of black glass runs the length of the dash, and instruments lights such as main beam, headlight operation and low fuel warning appear within this strip. The concept was inspired by Bang & Olufsen Hi-Fi products.
Otherwise, the 1999 Diablo remained fundamentally unchanged. Like the updated VT, it was produced only as a production model for the 1999 model year. A limited edition 2000 model was produced, available only in metallic silver - most of these cars are in the United States.

The constantly evolving sportscar is renowned for having close-to-perfect handling and sweet, sweet driving dynamics, and has a loyal following amongst owners and enthusiasts. So it always comes as something of a surprise that drivers in the USA are less blessed when it comes to model choice - hence the unbridled excitement of Jalopnik and Autoblog (amongst many) at the news that the hardcore Exige S, the supercharged variant of the coupé, is heading across the Atlantic.

Renault’s Twingo communicating city car concept

October 2, 2006 After previewing its spectacular Nepta Concept with motor-driven gull wing doors in the weeks leading up to the Paris Show, we figured Renault had played all its cards, but we were very wrong. At the opening of the show, Renault trotted out the youth-culture-inspired Twingo Concept, the most wired and desirable city car we’ve yet seen. The centre console features a USB port as well as sockets for devices like an Apple iPod and the Nokia Smartphone. A mixing deck built into the dashboard is ideal for partying with friends. The tiny city car is no slouch – powered by a turbocharged 1.2-litre engine delivering 73kW (100hp), the Twingo combines efficiency, response, power and environmental friendliness. The Dodge Viper, Part 5

Viper Competition Coupe
As of 2003, a special, non-street legal Viper SRT-10 Competition Coupe is available from Dodge for race car drivers, picking up where the GTS-R racing variant left off. The power and torque ratings have been improved, but the vehicle has been stripped of anything not essential for racing, such as the interior body panels, instrumentation, air conditioning, and stereo system which lightened the car by 380 lb (170 kg). The "CompCoupe" comes equipped with a full roll cage, a racing fuel cell, and other racing-related equipment. It is not sold through dealers and is purchased from Dodge directly as, essentially, a very expensive race car component. Pricing is approximately US$139,000. The Viper Competition Coupe sees action in the highly competitive SCCA Speed GT World Challenge.
In 2004 Samuel Hubinette used a Competition Coupe with a modified rear axle for the Formula D, in which he won the title before the car was barred by the end of the season (due to the fact FD would adopt D1 Grand Prix regulations from the following year which had already prohibited the car from competing) and was replaced by an SRT-10 the following season.
After a few one-off entries in the Spa 24 Hours, from 2006, the Viper Competition Coupe will race in Europe fulltime for the first time, joining the new FIA GT3 Cup with the Italian team Racing Box.
